Apparently Rory McIlroy will jump back to #1 player in the world if Luke Donald doesn't finish inside the top 8 in the RBC Heritage this week. That's a good thing since Luke bounce back from a 75 in round 1.
I noticed Luke Donald bogeyed the Par 5, 15th Hole both rounds. Golf is the one of the hardest sport there is to master. People often say, you never really master or perfect the game of golf, it's a continuous learning experience. Whether you're the current world number one or a 20-Handicap, making mistakes is just a part of the learning experience. If you've said you don't make mistakes, then you're doing something wrong.
I didn't get to catch up on any of the tournament action today, only read that Colt Knost had a better day than yesterday. When its going well its really going well. I fell like that a lot of time on the golf course. It also works the other way around. I've had rounds where everything is going well. Hitting solid approaches, hitting good drives, even making putts that I was for sure a 2-putt. But then again I've had rounds where I didn't hit any fairways or any greens. And one of those rounds where it seems like there's a cover on the hole and the ball can't seem to find the bottom of the cup. But like I said on the last post, when its your week, its your week. Hopefully Knost can go all the way.
Colt Knost is a good story in the making. He doesn't play in many weekends but when he does, he makes them count. He did tie for 3rd in the Mayakoba Golf Classic, his career best finish. Let's cheer for this guy. He was the 2007 US Amateur Champion. He does know how to win. Lets see if he can finish off this great run and get a W.
Have a good weekend. I'll be playing at Green Meadows in Hudson, NH on Sunday. Hopefully I'll play one of my better golf this weekend. Somewhere between 78-85 I'll be happy. Anything over 85 means I have not been practicing hard enough.
Hit em' long and Straight!
